2017 Chicago White Sox Premium Tickets

The Chicago White Sox commissioned me to create their 2017 premium season ticket package, 81 little pieces of art that depict the club's rich history, from 1901 right up to the present time. Original illustration and lettering, a nod to vintage design elements and club logos, combined with photography and depictions of artifacts make up the whole deal.

The club activated and leveraged the artwork in multiple ways, applying it to the their yearbook cover, to cups vended at the ballpark, and to notecards, which were sold to benefit White Sox Charities. The artwork was also featured prominently on social media, including Facebook and Twitter featured header images. Individual pieces of the art were carved out as t-shirt designs for themed giveaway nights throughout the entire season.

Fan and media reaction was overwhelmingly positive. MLB.com called them “gorgeous works of art.” “Coolest season tickets ever,” said one fan site, and HOW called it “one of the most art-driven, creative season ticket packages ever seen in Major League Baseball.”

In a career highlight, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown has selected this project for inclusion in its permanent collection.

Sincere thanks to Gareth Breunlin, the White Sox’ Director of Advertising & Design Services, and to the club for the opportunity to be involved with this amazing project.
