Beginning in 2001, the Brooklyn Cyclones filled a baseball void left some 40 years earlier when the beloved Dodgers left for Los Angeles. The identity of this new club needed to reflect the colorful history of Coney Island, Brooklyn's most famous neighborhood and the club's new home. The end result was a sophisticated yet fun look appropriate for the New York market. Sales of Cyclones licensed merchandise immediately shot to the top of all of Minor League Baseball upon launch—stroll down the boardwalk at Coney and see how often you spot the logo.
